Sewer's Appreciation Party

In lieu of a traditional book release party, we hosted a Sewer's Appreciation Party at the school library.  The evening was a chance for us to thank the many, many families who happily allowed us to sew with and photograph their children.  For most, this was the first time they saw the book - seeing the excitement on their faces, Andria and I knew we did it right.
The "Super Hero" boys find their picture and ham it up - as usual!
Decorating fabric squares to be turned into a Sewing School quilt. I'll show more of that later - they are so cute!
The lovely Amy (Justin's wife) along with Justin and Andria.
I'm in the middle with my two cheerleaders, friends, and fellow Senior Kindergarten teachers Libby Shannon and Katie Donald - thanks guys!
Eric and Frankie stopped by to check out the excitement.  Thanks for putting up with all my talk of sewing for the last 2 years!  It's finally here, guys!

Each child who was included in the book got a copy (thanks, Storey!).  Signing each others' books was a big part of the evening.  We also had a slide show of some of Justin's amazing photos that weren't included in the book.

All in all, the night was perfect - just what we had envisioned.  I finally feel that the book has been properly released and ready to be seen by all!  With that in mind, I'll be showing projects, ideas, and some behind the scenes action in the coming weeks.
