Eric, my husband, is very handy with a hammer and saw. While we don't have a proper woodworking shed, he always seems to make amazing things from castoff wood found on the curb. He's made a picnic table, outdoor shower, and a little coffee table for our outdoor space.

This weekend, Eric made a little doo-dad holder from vintage yardsticks. He got the idea from
The Complete Book of Retro Crafts by the fabulous
Suzie Millions.

Right now, it's sitting in the craft room waiting to be filled with doo-dads.

Amie, Make sure you check out the ABC&123 blog they've got a ton of cute ocean-themed lessons and craft projects this month that would be great for your kindergarten classroom "under the sea" unit.
Fondly,
MaryLea (aka Pink and Green Mama)
