Camp: Day 3

Welcome to Sewing School Camp! Each day I'll share a project or two from the Sewing School books. You'll also see some sneak peeks from Sewing School 2. A favorite part of camp is the snack and book time we do each day. At the end of the post, I'll include the book read that day. Hope you enjoy camping along with us!
Today we made skirts!  Lots and lots of skirts using the My Very Own Skirt pattern from Sewing School.  Everyone was so proud of their skirts and put them on immediately!
The boys were not left out.  They used the small skirt pattern to make super hero capes.  This is a variation that unfortunatley did not find a home in the book.

They are super simple to make.  Just trace the pattern onto fabric one time then cut a piece of ribbon the same length as the top of the skirt.  Sew down each end of the ribbon to the top corners and slip it over your head.  Instant super hero action!
