Stuffed Bugs

We made stuffed bugs again this year. In fact, I used last year's post to show my class how to do it. This is such a great year-end project. It ties in everything we've been going for all year - creative thinking, problem-solving, story writing, and sewing (of course!).
After writing a creative story about their bugs, the kids shared them with the class. Most stories were about taking their bugs to the park, which is really a fun idea if you think about it.
This class is so fun and creative, I'm going to miss them!

I wanted to write and let you know that I have been completely inspired by your blog. I love, love, love all the sewing you do with your kindergarteners. I have been excited to bring more sewing into my own kindergarten class. A while ago you posted a felt sea creature that a teacher had made with her class. We started a new ocean unit this year and we made our own ocean animals. Thanks so much for the inspiration. I look forward to each new post.

I would love to show you. The kids are so proud of their sea animals and can't wait to take them home at the end of the week. What is the best way to send you some pictures? I also have a class website through myfamily.com that I could invite you to if that is easier.
