Eco Brushes

I'm a little late getting my Earth Day post off. Hope you had a good one - ours was so nice and sunny.

I wanted to share a favorite activity from this week - Eco Brushes. Basically, I challenged the kids to use only the materials in the crafts and recycle center to create their own paintbrush. Then they had to test it to make sure it worked. The results were amazing! Not only was it a fun, creative activity, but it also stretched their critical thinking and construction skills.

Above was my personal favorite, a double-sided Eco Brush. One side is a roller, the other a brush. Below is a sweet paintbrush made of yarn. It's like a little painting mop.
