For sewing club, I purchased inexpensive "bar mop towels" from Target to hopefully inspire sewers to create something new. I have been a little frustrated by watching the kids work really hard on an embroidery or project only to crumple it up in their backpacks. I want the kids to understand the practical aspect of sewing and joy of using something handmade in the home.
These little "tea towels" have done the trick for some kids. I am so impressed, once again, by their creativity and use of materials.
