Sewing Machine Frenzy
We finally started using sewing machines during Sewing Club. We have two Janome Sew Mini machines which stay busy the entire hour. The Sew Mini is a great first machine and perfect for a classroom or light-sewing. I have recommended it to several people. It's light-weight and easy to store. I also find it great for kids because while it's a "real machine" and sews well, it's also very slow. Just the right speed for new sewers. The downsides? Well, it doesn't do well with heavy fabrics like fleece and there isn't a light on the machine. I'll talk more about sewing on a machine with kids soon. Right now, we're having fun!
