For our last session of Sewing Club we always like to do a "give back" project where the kids use their sewing skills to help others. This time, we did it for the birds with these cute nest helpers.
While there was no actual sewing involved, we used up scraps of fabric and bits of yarn to make ours. Perfect for helping to clean up after several weeks of sewing!
We followed this great tutorial from WhiMSy love. My only change is that we didn't join the ends of the wire, but just let the kids mush it all up and make a ball shape. It seemed to work just fine.
As a special treat (we always have a special treat on the last day) we made chocolate nests. Yum!
