Camp: Day 1

Welcome to Sewing School Camp! Each day I'll share a project or two from the Sewing School books.  You'll also see some sneak peeks from Sewing School 2.  A favorite part of camp is the snack and book time we do each day. At the end of the post, I'll include the book read that day. Hope you enjoy camping along with us!
Sewing School Camp is in full swing!  We started off with a favorite, Stuffies from the Sewing School book.  This simple project really lets the kids be creative while the teachers can teach basic sewing skills and check abilities.

Love, love this tree!  The sewer stitched two different colors of felt together to make the backing match the tree.  Genius, no?!  This is why I love sewing with kids!

A pair of flip flops - they traced their own shoes to get the shape!

There's always at least one cupcake in the crowd.
A Stuffie pillow for her Dad.

Camp reads:
Knuffle Bunny Too:  A Case of Mistaken Identity by Mo Willems (I loved how my co-teacher Katie told the kids that their Stuffies would never be mistaken because they really were all one-of-a-kind!)

Corduroy by Don Freeman  (The patron saint of Stuffies.)
