These easy dragonfly pencils are guaranteed to spark some creative writing. A fellow SK teacher, Ms. Burruss made them with the kids and I had to share.
Top Row - 3 pipe cleaners and a pencil. Form 2 pipe cleaners into circles. Slightly smoosh the circles so they are ovals. You made wings!
Middle Row - Twist the top of the 3rd pipe cleaner into a small loop for the head. Here is the head. Now, twist the 3rd pipe cleaner around the wings a few times.
Bottom Row - You have a dragonfly! Twist the body around the pencil. Sharpen the pencil and let the words fly.
Hmmm....now what to write about....
