Sewing Birthday Party

I had the pleasure of throwing another sewing birthday party with fellow sewing club teachers this weekend.  This third grade party was won at our school silent auction - we are so pleased to support our school this way.
The birthday girl is a third grader who wanted to make stuffies.  It's funny how this project appeals to everyone.  It really is a fun and satisfying project.
We got the 12 party goers started by taping muslin to the table and having some pre-threaded needles ready to go.
These older girls jumped back into sewing and had fun chatting and making one-of-a-kind stuffies.  The blue ribbon horse is priceless!
Mrs. Shannon provided the favors - a cute box filled with chocolate buttons and notions.
Here's our birthday girl! She received her own sewing-themed Get To Work Apron as a special gift.
