For the Grad

Finding the perfect graduation gift can be tricky.  You want it to be something useful as well as unique.  I found my inspiration in the aisles of the local fabric store in the form of pre-made sewing kits.  I put together this little emergency sewing kit for a good friend's daughter who will be going off to collage in the fall. She likes things neat and pretty, but it would also be cute made from sewing themed fabric.

The original bag was decidedly un-cute, so I made my own lined zipped bag using this tutorial.  Then, I plopped in the purchased supplies.  One thing I added was a roll of hem tape, a must for every collage girl.

This got me thinking of the possibilities.  Little zipped pouches filled with first aid supplies, letter writing, craft supplies, and even some tools.  Zippy pouches for everyone on your gift list!
