Recently, I stitched an apron skirt from Free-Style Handmade Bags and Skirts. Who knew how handy having so many extra pockets could be? At the end of a busy day, my pockets are filled with tissues, keys, little toys, snacks, and pencils. Plus, with cute fabric, the apron skirt is fun to wear! The pattern in the book is a little tricky - you have to add seam allowances and adjust for size. I found that I have to wear mine over pants, but I'm going to try again and add some length to the side panels. I think it would make a cute summer skirt. The extra pockets may show up on my next A-line skirt. Apron skirts for everyone!
