Christmas Mouse

Our class pets are two sweet little mice, so of course we had to make Christmas Mice!

This activity is super fun and easy. I did this as a follow-the-directions activity. Not one student had to ask for help!
Supplies needed - red and green felt, candy cane, google eyes, pompom for nose, glue, scissors, chalk, tape.

The body pattern is a teardrop 6 inches long, the ears measure 5 1/2 inches.
Let's get started!
Step 1: Trace the patterns onto felt using chalk. The body is red and the ears are green.

Step 2: Cut out felt pieces.
Step 3: Fold the red body and cut two small slits in the middle for the ears.

Step 4: Weave the ears through the slit on the red body.
Step 5: Glue on a pompom nose.
Step 6: Glue on two google eyes.
Step 7: Slide the candy cane through the green loop on the back. Be sure that the curved part of the candy cane sticks out for a tail.
Step 8: You might need to tape the candy cane in place so that it doesn't slide out.
Step 9: Give to a friend.
