After trying really, really hard to make a skirt using tape, my help was enlisted. This simple wrap skirt is just a piece of material wrapped around and fastened with 2 buttons. While it may fall apart after one wash, it was fashionable all day.
This skirt reminds me of the wrap skirts I made in high school. Heavily influenced by Molly Ringwald's characters in Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles, I wanted to make my own clothes. I would take a piece of fabric, wrap it around my waist, and safety pin it together.
