For Father's Day, I decided to make something for Eric. I mean, I never sew for him. He wants things like a shirt or a bucket hat, which just seem a bit too complicated for my kid-sewing skills. But a tie, that should be doable, right?
Mary Allison at Sew Memphis hooked me up with this pattern (and the fabric!). She added about 8 inches to the length. The directions are pretty easy to follow once you get going. It's a lot of hand sewing and requires a little more perfection than I'm used to, but it was fun to make.
Eric likes it, but thinks it needs to be about 1/2 inch wider next time (you mean next Father's Day, right?).
