Chocolate Nests

Yum, chocolate nests!  Everyone will have fun building and eating these treats.  Perfect for Easter or if you are studying eggs and nests like we are.

We made ours in groups of 3 and built them upon waxed paper.

1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/4  cup butterscotch chips
1 cup chow mein noodles
3 chocolate robin's eggs

Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips for about a minute in the microwave.  Stir up well.  Stir in chow mein noodles.   Divide into 3 nest sized bundles on wax paper.  Wait just a minute for the mixture to cool and then form into nests.  Add 3 robin's eggs.  Eat!  You can also wait for it to cool a little before eating - it gets a little firmer and more nest-like.

Want to make a bigger batch?  Just use equal parts chocolate and butterscotch chips and slowly add chow mein noodles until the mixture looks right to you.  You'll know it when you get there - you don't want it too gloopy.
Watch out - it can get a little messy, but the results are worth it!
Happy chocolate nest making!
