I finally found a copy of Twig by Elizabeth Orton Jones. I quickly read it and was enchanted by the story and illustrations. Then, Phoebe discovered it and was curious as well. Who was this girl and her friend Elf? Is this a real fairy queen? I am reading it to her before bedtime - our first chapter book. The chapters are just the right length and the wonderful pictures help to keep her attention. I'll have to read it to my class next. I am not sure how we lived without Twig!

first chapter read books are the best!! that introduction into the world of reading with out pictures is so fun...i don't know about TWIG, but i think i may have to search out a copy. thanks :) xx
