Laptop Sleeve

My laptop needed a facelift for 2013.  I stitched up a quick laptop sleeve using this tutorial and some favorite Melody Miller fabric.  I think this is the first thing I've sewn for myself in a very long time!
**A few notes about the tutorial.  I didn't have any fusible fleece, so I used low loft batting and quilted the batting to the top piece before putting the sides together.  I also wish I would have added 1/2 inch to my measurements all around.  It's suggested that you make a practice sleeve before cutting into good fabric, but who has time for that?  Anyway, the tutorial was clear and it was a fairly simple and satisfying project.

Looks very nice. I agree: who has time? :-). What if you don't have fusible fleece or the quilting (can't see the blog to remember the specific name). I can buy either, but trying to use what I have before buying any thing else. :-)

WANNASEW - you need some kind of thick layer for protection. If you don't have any batting on hand, flannel or felt might work. Now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if using an old towel would work?? I like to use what I have on hand as well!
